What types of clients do you work with?

I work with clients who are struggling to overcome limiting beliefs and/or behavior patterns, and are ready to take responsibility for their struggles and make significant life changes.  My clientele are emotionally healthy and growth oriented.

What can I expect to experience while in hypnosis?

Each experience is individual and very personal.  Some report a feeling of floating or being in a tunnel, while others report a deep sense of relaxation, much like that which is felt during meditation.  While some may report a significant sense of being in hypnosis, others may not realize they actually experienced anything at all.

Is Hypnotherapy real?

Absolutely!  Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years.  The American Medical Association officially recognized Hypnotism in 1958.  Research is showing that our brain waves actually change during hypnosis as well as identifying what parts of our brain are effected.

How long is each session?

The first session is about 2 hours.  The client will complete an intake form, discuss goals, process, and their first hypnosis session.

Subsequent sessions can last between 60 - 90 minutes, depending on the process during that particular session.  Regression sessions can last up to 2.5 hours.

What can I expect in a typical session?

A typical session can consist of a question and answer period in the beginning, then an interactive approach to the goal of that session.  The suggestions will be custom created with the client’s participation.  After hypnosis, the Hypnotist and client will go over any questions and the client will be given tools to take home and help “accelerate” the results.  They’ll also be given a custom recording to listen to each morning or evening.

How many sessions can I expect?

There is no magic number, everyone progresses at their own pace.  It's also dependent on how responsive the client is to hypnosis and what goal they have in mind.  Most clients come for an average of 8- 10 sessions.

Will I have to do “homework”?

Hypnosis is not a magic cure.  Just like anything, the more you practice, the more effective it is.  In each session, you’ll leave with some “accelerators” to help speed the process of reaching your goal.

Will hypnosis “cure” me?

Hypnosis is not a cure.  It’s also not guaranteed. It’s an educational and empowerment tool to help you tap into your subconscious mind to find answers to your problems.  Hypnosis helps you learn to master your levels of awareness to enhance your mind-body connection.  In doing so, the possibility of overcoming challenges increases.  As with anything, the more you practice, the better the results.

Can hypnosis replace my current medical treatment or medicine?

No.  Hypnosis is NOT a substitute for medical treatment.  It is an education process and an adjunct to treatments.  If you have a medical issue or think you have a medical issue, you are required to see your doctor and obtain their approval prior to working with the Hypnotist.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes. That is to say, everyone who wants to be hypnotized has the ability.  Hypnosis is based on the desire.  You are always in control, if there is something you don’t want to do, the Hypnotist can’t make you do it.  There are many types of inductions, if you are struggling, it might just be a matter of finding the right induction for you.
